What is Scripture Mapping?
Scripture mapping is a Bible study method that helps you slow down and explore Scripture deeply—one verse or short passage at a time.
Instead of rushing through large sections of text, verse mapping invites you to observe, question, study, and reflect on what the verse actually says, what it meant in its original context, and how it applies today.
Scripture mapping often includes:
- Writing the verse out
- Comparing translations
- Identifying keywords and phrases
- Noticing patterns, contrasts, and repeated ideas
- Reflecting on personal application
The goal isn't to find quick answers, it's to engage Scripture thoughtfully and allow it to shape understanding, faith, and daily life.
Why Scripture Mapping Matters
Scripture mapping helps move Bible reading from passive to intentional. It creates space to:
- Understand Scripture more accurately
- Avoid taking verses out of context
- Discover richness and nuance you might otherwise miss
- Connect head knowledge with heart transformation
